Programme 2004/2005 • Wellbeing at Work –It was suggested that this should be put on the backburner and think about with Training Needs Questionnaire and review day for events in 05/06. Think it may be better to be locally at individual institutions. • Managing Part time & Contract Staff Judith spoke to Beryl Morris about this and the course content overlapped with another one that was already running at CILIP and so it was thought that it should be postponed and possibly reworked so that it did not. • Coping at the Counter – 10 March 05 Fully booked with 12 delegates. Sheila Ritchie is facilitating and being held at Senate House. • Work habits of professionals – 26 November 04 was delivered by Levelheaded at their venue. Work habits of para professionals – 4 November 04. Well received. Useful details about time management and assertiveness around time. Possibly a follow up on Paperwork management? • New Managers Skills Workshops – 26 Jan, 9 & 23 Feb 05 This course was well received, it was fully booked • Senior Managers Skills Workshops – 1 & 15 Feb & 2 & 17 March 05 This course was not fully booked but had in between 9 -12 delegates on the courses. We had a discussion about whether it attracted Senior Managers and it was thought it should actually be pitched at Middle/ Senior Managers or those aspiring to Senior Management level. • Negotiation Skills – 28 Feb 05 This event was fully booked with 15 delegates and it was well received. Sasha suggested after a brief conversation with Ash that we may need to be very clear about what it is for and who it is aimed at as there were a couple of union Representatives and also some people wanted to it to deal with customers. • Emotional Intelligence Ash Charlton will run this event at Royal Holloway, Bedford Square on the 12th May 2005 • Breakfast Briefing – Leadership (23 June 05) To be held at King’s by Gareth Edwards from The Leadership Trust.
