•    Previous events
Flexible Working
The Breakfast Briefing and full day workshop on this topic were very successful.  JSB provided the trainer.  CPD25 under wrote these events as part of their remit to make very costly events accessible.

Multicultural Awareness
This full day event was fully booked and JSB again, provided the trainer.

Legal Research Skills
Gerry Power ran this event for the second time.  The success of this event is spreading beyond the M25 with delegates from HM Customs & Excise and Leeds Metropolitan.

EU Copyright
Despite a technical failure this event was very well received and many current issues were raised and constructively discussed.

•    Visits
Book Aid, Hackney College & New Scotland Yard Libraries
These visits were all well attended.

5.    CPD25 Review Day & Programme for 2004/2005

•    Legal Research Skills
Gerry will re-run this core event, possibly at the University of Surrey, in Nov/Dec 2004.

•    Freedom of Information
The group decided to run this as both a breakfast briefing event for Heads of Service and Senior Managers and a full day seminar for practioners which also covers data protection.  Each event will have a slightly different emphasis.

a)    The Breakfast Briefing will tackle the legal implications on Libraries for Senior Managers.  Jennifer will engage JSB to provide a trainer for this event.  This event is scheduled for December

b)    Jennifer and Christine will work together on the full day session.  Andrew Charlesworth from Bristol was suggested as a possible speaker.

•    Plagiarism
Jennifer would like to use this session to explore the new JISC service.  There is also a possibility of a colleague from Oxford Brookes making a presentation.  This event is scheduled for March 2005

•    Multi Cultural Awareness Seminar
After the success of the first Race Awareness session the group would like to re-run the event.
Date: February 2005
Action: Jennifer to contact JSB

•    Mental Health Awareness Seminar
The group felt this was an area that was yet to be properly explored in relation to discrimination legislation and inclusion issues.  The CLAUD group of Librarians would be useful to discuss this proposal with.  Nick Hollis agreed to take the lead on this event.
Date: May 2005
Action: Caroline & Nick to liaise

•    Copyright Update
The group agreed that as this area was developing all the time under the influence of new legislation it would be helpful to run an update.  Paul Pedley was suggested as a good speaker in view of his excellent session at the Chartership event.
Date: TBC
Action: Ruth to contact Paul Pedley

Other Events
