Minutes of the CPD25 Statutory Requirements & Legal Compliance Task Group held on 19th May 2005 at 2pm at London College of Communication
Present: Jennifer Nordon, (Chair), Karen Ellis Rees, Robert Atkinson, Caroline Lloyd, Ruth Harrison & Dave Puplett (administrator)

1. Apologies
Apologies had been received from Gerry Power, Nick Hollis, Tim Davies, Christine Cooper.

2. Minutes of the last meeting

The minutes were accepted as a correct record

All matters are included in the agenda

4. 2004/5 Programme
Seminars

  • Legal Research Skills
Very popular again, fully subscribed and interest was expressed in this being run again.

Christine not present to report.

  •  Multicultural Awareness
Jennifer attended, reported that it was excellent.

  •  Plagiarism
Ruth attended, found it very good. A quick tour was also given.

  • Health & Safety
Jennifer will continue to research the possibility of running an event on Health & Safety

  • Mental Health Awareness
Dave reported that everything was in place for this imminent event.

Visits
  •   Sir John Soane’s Museum

Caroline Holebrook attended; the visit fully booked and was a success.

  • House of Lords Library

The visit was successful, although a little restricted in what you could see.

  • Laban Dance Centre

Caroline reports that the visit is ready to be advertised. Cpd25 might pay for the drinks on the day. Dave and Caroline to discuss.

Could talk about Sherpa Leap, D-space.
A variety of speakers could be used, making this a full day event. Paul Ayris at UCL could also be a helpful contact.
