Minutes of the cpd25 Steering Group

30th March 2011, 2.30pm

LSE Library: Room 301

Present: Sally Faith, Claire Hackshall (Administrator), Antony Loveland, Mary Nixon (Chair) and Pat Simons. 

In attendance: Martin Carbonell.

1. Apologies:

2. Minutes of the previous meeting:

Accepted as an accurate record.

3. Matters arising:

4. Financial update:

CH reported that booking numbers and finances for cpd25 events and visits were very similar to last year.

5. Reports from Task Groups:

All five groups submitted electronic reports in advance of the meeting. No additional notes to these.  

6. Report from Chair on the recent M25 Steering Group Meeting

MN reported back on this meeting. It was noted that interviews for the post of Chair of cpd25 from 1st August 2011 would be taking place shortly. 

7. cpd25 Planning Afternoon on 17th May 2011

CH reported that a member of the M25 Consortium’s Marketing & Communications Group had agreed to speak at this year’s Planning Afternoon, on the subject of possible improvements that could be make to the marketing and advertising of cpd25 events. A discussion also took place on the format of the group session for the afternoon and it was agreed to run this as a ‘speed dating’ exercise.

8. Any Other Business

Chairs were asked to discuss at their next group meeting ideas for next year’s programme, to include repeating any events that had gone well this year plus any new topics/ideas that they might have. These would then be discussed at the next Steering Group meeting in order to ensure that there were no overlaps.

9. Date of next meeting:

It was agreed that this should take place around mid July 2011 and that CH would circulate some possible dates for this.
