Meeting of cpd25 User Resources & Services Task Group

10th September 2007, City University, School of Nursing, 2.30pm

In attendance: Janet Smith (Chair), Eilis Rafferty, Helen Alper, Karen Drury, Jane Rosen, Suzy Ball (administrator).

1. Apologies: June Hedges, Pat Simons, Jennifer Treherne, Antonella Yarnold.

2. Minutes of last meeting: Accepted as an accurate record.

3. Matters Arising: The first batch of papers arising from the task group conference, The Library in the Interactive Environment, should be published imminently in the New Review of Information Networking. Suzy will add this to the ‘news’ section of the cpd25 website when notification of publication is received.

4. Programme 06/07: E-Books Update (2nd July 2007). Jane provided feedback on the event held at the London Mathematical School. The feedback was positive and Taylor and Francis’ Carlos Gimeno was highlighted as a popular speaker. There were two last minute substitutions of speaker on the day. This led to a less successful presentation from the Oxford Digital Library, as the speaker had had limited involvement in the project and therefore some of the information communicated in the previous years’ event was repeated. The Q&A element went well and the venue was nice.
