4. 2005/06 Programme:
Visit – British Library: Janet, 24th February
Very successful visit, with a general tour followed by tea and a talk about the science collections, and a tour of the science wing. Several of the attendees emailed the next day to say how much they enjoyed it.
E-books: Jane with Eilis, 24th March
Full at 40 people in bigger room at Birkbeck. Very successful, with a good panel of speakers. Ronald Milne from Oxford was obviously a big draw. Lots of feedback asking for a repeat session.
Online Reading Lists: June H, 27th April
Fully booked at 26 people. Very good session, the feedback suggested the session could have been longer.
Information Literacy for the Google Generation: Antonella and Helen, 5th May
Three speakers – Peter Godwin, Jill Parker and Debbi Boden. Room full with 35 delegates. Very good session, only problem was the lack of internet access. However the speakers coped admirably without.
What do users want? Kathy, 23rd May
This has been finalised and advertised.
International Students – Kathy, July
Kathy may still be looking for one more name - Janet to email Kathy and check on her progress.
Teaching in a Virtual Learning Environment: This has now been put back to be included in next years' programme in some way.
5. Task Group Membership:
Those present all agreed to continue their membership of the group.
Pat Simons of Roehampton University has joined the group, bringing membership to 9 people.
6. 2006/7 Future Programme:
All events provisional, subject to confirmation
Visit to Imperial War Museum - Jane, late Oct/Nov.

This event to span two days with plenary and breakout sessions, with possible collaboration with LHL. The online content part of this could overlap with the Legal Compliance group, who could provide a speaker for a legal update.
Dave to consult the group at their next meeting.
Changing Expectations - Kathy to be consulted, following on from the international student events.
Learning and Teaching with Gwyneth Price, Janet, Nov.
A repeat/update on last years event.
