Meeting of cpd25 User Resources & Services Task Group
13th September 2005, University of Westminster 10 am.

Apologies received from Toby Clark and June Hedges.
2. Minutes of the last meeting
Accepted as an accurate record.
3. Matters arising
Point 4 – One off teaching – Still no contact with Alison Ahearn after this session. Dave reported minimal feedback from the session because of the over-run.
ACTION – Janet to try and speak to her in person.
Point 6 – Task Group remit to be discussed at forthcoming steering group meeting.
Point 7 – Janet will contact Judith about customer care course after she returns from leave.
4. Reports of June/July events:
Accreditation – Cancelled on the day due to the bombings in London.
Kathy reported that Dave, herself and one of the speakers arrived at the venue but no delegates. Dave reported that the cost of the event was partially absorbed into the recalculated charge for the series. The event could be run as a one off later in the year.
International Students – Very successful. Kathy attended with Jane’s assistance on the day as Dave was on leave. The four speakers covered a good range of backgrounds, although Kathy wanted to get a speaker to represent Middle Eastern students. The scenarios used worked well, although it would have been better to send these out before the event. Also, more time could have been allowed for discussion at the end of the day.
Dave reported much positive feedback from delegates, and large interest in running the event again. If repeated, it was felt it could be expanded into a full day event, for a larger audience. It was noted that July worked well for this session. Kathy provided a summary of the event, to be kept on file by Dave.
