Meeting of cpd25 User Resources & Services Task Group

Barbican (Helen):
Took place 22nd Jan, 18 people attended. Very good visit, of particualr interest were the RFID installation and the Music library.

Changing User Expectations / What Users Want (Antonella and Karen):
To take place on 10/11th May. Half day, with a variety of themes, including library refurbishments.

Ebooks Update (Jane):
Possible dates: 2-5th July, 9-10th July.
Speakers: Ronald Milne, possible from SLAIS (UCL), JISC

1  Final titles, abstracts, biographies (including current post) as above need to be with me by 26 February, so that Dave can prepare publicity to go out 5 March and I can brief chairs. Please confirm timings to speakers if necessary and ascertain any dietary requirements.

2  Presentations need to reach Dave by 16 April for copying

3  Arrive early on the day (9.15?) and be prepared to help Dave with registration (JH and ER have agreed), greet speakers, direct delegates, etc.

4  Lunch tables will be reserved for the task group and speakers - please look after your invited speakers as necessary


OTHER ACTION

DP to contact ER, JT, HA about arrangements for exhibitors (parking, unloading, etc)

PS to help DP the week before with information packs

PS to have roving microphone on day

ER to approach OCLC as an extra exhibitor

JT to ask 3M to clarify what they will exhibit

JS/DP to agree pre-publicity (JS to discuss draft with DP; DP to circulate to cpd25 list first, then SCONUL)

JS to meet with DP 17.4, 15.30.
DP to draft feedback form specically for this event
