Meeting of cpd25 User Resources & Services Task Group 4th June 2007, University of Westminster, 10.30am. Present: Janet Smith, (Chair), Pat Simons, Eilis Rafferty, Karen Drury, June Hedges, Helen Alper, Antonella Yarnold, Jennifer Treherne, Dave Puplett (Administrator) 1. Apologies Jane Rosen. 2. Minutes of the last meeting, 2nd Feb Accepted as an accurate record. 3. Matters Arising None 4. Programme 06/07 Conference: The Library in the Interactive Environment Janet expressed thanks to the group for their hard work in making the conference such a success. There were questions over the effectiveness of the exhibitions we had, notably that one display failed to arrive on time. Janet reported that the New Review of Information Networking will be publishing most of the papers, some in the upcoming edition and the rest six months later. UEL belatedly offered their services to the conference, speaking on SMS (text messaging). This could be used in a future session. The feedback was very good indeed, only 1 satisfactory, the rest all good to excellent. What Users Want: Held at City University, 21st May. Speakers from UCL, Brunel, Surrey and Oxford. Invitations to visit both Surrey and Oxford were received from the speakers afterwards. Feedback very good, despite the background drilling which did affect the session. Ebooks: Planned for 2nd July. Speakers from SLAIS, Taylor Francis, Oxford Google project and JISC ebooks project. Venue booked - London Mathematical Society. June to chair. 5. Programme 07/08
