4.1 Administration:
A calendar of M25 meetings is now on website – this will include cpd25 steering and task group meetings, but events calendar will still remain separate.
Suzy leaves 24 September; a temp will start 22nd, based LSE.

 4.2 Planning:
M25 steering group to meet 12.3.09. cpd25 review day to be at a date to follow this.
Steering group members to send deputies if unable to attend; all task groups to be involved in conference on change in 2009-10.
MN contacting CILIP [Rare Books] group about collaborative event with TG5. JS to forward contact once known and help as necessary. JH suggested topic for inclusion - Integrating special collections into learning and teaching (to share ideas on e-learning, images, etc.)

5. 2008-09 programme
:

5.1 Visits:
5.1.1: Reading special collections (chiefly printing collections) - KD to agree date in November. When confirmed, JS to inform MN in connection with CILIP collaboration (item 4).
5.1.2: RFID - UCL will have intelligent machines in operation early 2009. CLP to liaise with June over visit.

5.2 Events:
5.2.1: NHS/HE partnership launch 26th November. Venue (London Health Libraries are handling) tba. Janet to liaise with Richard Osborn re publicity (and email to SDO list and M25 list via Genein; Richard to circulate to NHS lists). JS and HA to attend and assist temp administrator, who should be available all day, as necessary. cpd25 to be responsible for registration, LHL for packs. Free event.
5.2.2: Resource discovery event on InforM25. CLP to check with John Gilby , who has agreed to give a presentation, whether this should now be one event to raise awareness among subject/liaison/reference librarians or a few "roadshows" as originally envisaged. JT willing to organise event for systems librarians (not autumn term) - original idea that this would be an event on InforM25 informed by the subject librarian roadshows now to be superseded by event on library systems [subject to clarification on whether John Gilby is still expecting the former?]
5.2.3: Collaborative software for liaison librarians. HA and JS to confer c.October on half-day event  for spring term.
5.2.4: Special collections event see item 4

5.3: Conference:
The event will be titled “Future of librarians"; the emphasis will on people, roles, careers. The event will be aimed at all levels of staff, but especially those at beginning of career, library school students [could handle places via schools - mostly cpd25 subscriber insititutions]
Key speaker(s) on roles and what look for in staff. Need to consider possible speakers and get in touch.
Looking at getting roughly 100-120 delegates
Finding a suitably sized venue will be key.
April seems to be the best time; left much later we might clash with the rush of conferences that tend to happen c.June.

6. AOB:
The group expressed thanks and good wishes to Suzy.

7. Next meeting:
Wed.3 December, 2.30.
