Staff Development Officers Forum 1: Low and No Cost Staff Development
cpd25 is very pleased to offer an afternoon discussion forum on providing effective in-house staff development on a shoe-string budget – or for free! The event will begin with lunch at 1pm, followed by the first of three talks commencing at 1.30pm: · '23 Things City': Helen Westwood and Verena Price · 'Learning Hours at LSE': Jo Taplin-Green · 'Learning Hours at Anglia Ruskin': Norman Boyd Delegates will then have facilitated group discussions designed to help you to develop your own ideas for free and low-cost staff development, as well as how to engage staff at all levels and encourage participation. We’ll round up the discussions with a final plenary session, and facilitators will disseminate the notes to delegates after the Forum. Venue: The Hardy Room at the London Mathematical Society, 57-58 Russell Square, London WC1B 4HS; Website: www.lms.ac.uk Please note that there are limited places available for this event. To book a place please use our online booking form or email the administrator via cpd25@lse.ac.uk Cost: £60 for cpd25 members and £90 for other institutions. Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged. |
